I feel like one of the most wonderful things about being in the Harry Potter fandom is knowing that tomorrow may be the end of the timeline as we know it–and an epic nineteen years later–but even after September 1st, 2017, this fandom will go right on creating and writing and editing and imagining, and I think that’s so, so beautiful that we’ve come this far and yet we continue to show our endless love for this world.
Every night before he went to sleep, Harry ticked off another day on the piece of paper he had pinned to the wall, counting down to September the first.
“Did you like question ten, Moony?” asked Sirius as they emerged into the entrance hall. “Loved it,” said Lupin briskly.
and Here we are.
Today, September 1st, is exactly the “19 years Later” day.
Today “the scar had not pained Harry for 19 years and All was Well.”
moodboard: lily potter (née evans)
↳ “lily evans. one of the brightest i ever taught. vivacious, you know. charming girl. I used to tell her she ought to have been in my house. very cheeky answers i used to get back too.”
it’s september the first, 2017
somewhere out there in king’s cross today, harry potter will tell albus severus potter that it’s okay to be a slytherin if that’s what the hat sorts him as
later today, albus will bump into a kid in an empty compartment that he’ll end up sharing his hogwarts life with, and his life after that
teddy lupin and victorie weasley will kiss on the station platform and be interrupted by james potter. hugo granger-weasley and lily luna potter will chat about what will happen when they get to go to hogwarts. rose granger-weasley is starting her first year too, ready to beat albus in every subject
it’s been nineteen years (and a bit) since the battle of hogwarts
the next generation is going to hogwarts to make their own stories
